One Month In
by Khi
One month ago, Horizon Club Scene didn’t exist.
There wasn’t even a roadmap. Just the idea…
What if clubs, events, photographers, tuners, drifters, cruisers, racers, and creators had a place built specifically for them?
Since then, we’ve gone from a handful of pages and a Discord server to club pages, community records, event automation, route sharing, galleries, recurring events, articles, maps, Discord integrations, and a large collection of ideas growing in my mind garden.
The coolest part for me is actually seeing people actually use stuff. I’ll never get tired of it.
When it comes to how this project should be funded long term… I’d rather ask the people who believe in it to help support it than fill it with ads, trackers, sponsorships, or the usual internet nonsense.
So today I’m launching Patreon support for Horizon Club Scene.
Casual Supporter ($10/month)
- For people who simply want to help keep the lights on and support continued development.
HCS Club Automation ($15/month)
- Enables automation features for a single club.
HCS Director ($25/month)
- Enables automation features across all clubs managed by that user.
The public community isn’t changing. Joining clubs is free. Creating events is free. Sharing photos is free. Community records are free. The map is free.
The goal has never been to put the community behind a paywall.
Patreon exists because servers cost money. Development takes time. Automated features cost money to run. New ideas take infrastructure.
More than anything, though, it exists because I want Horizon Club Scene to stay independent.
No ads, ever.
I will never sell your data. No investors making decisions.
Just a community building something together because they think it’s worth having.
We’re only one month in. Still laying the foundation. A year from now, we’re going to be the place clubs live.
Where events start. Where rivalries form. Where records get chased.
Where people find their crew.
That’s a future I’m excited to keep building toward.
Thanks, again, for being here.
